Years ago, one of the most beloved custom maps in the Warcraft III scene asked a simple, ruthless
question: can you turn a handful of random gems into the perfect maze? You placed your gems, gambled on
the combine, and watched the creeps wind through a gauntlet of your own design. It was strategy,
geometry, and pure luck, and it was unforgettable.
That experience is hard to find today. The lobbies emptied, the client changed, and the old way of
playing slipped out of reach. So we rebuilt the loop we loved from the ground up for the modern web.
Same gamble, same maze, same "just one more wave" pull, now with a 16-realm campaign, 13 real recipes,

No. This is a brand new browser game built as a tribute to the classic gem tower-defense maps from the Warcraft III custom-map era. It is independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard. We rebuilt the core loop, the gem placement, the recipe combines and the mazing, as our own game.

Gem TD is a fantasy tower-defense game where you build a maze out of magic gem towers, combine eight gem families into powerful special gems, and defend against waves of creeps across a 16-realm campaign and endless Survival.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. Gem TD runs instantly in any modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) on desktop and laptop, with nothing to download.
How do gem combines work?
Place specific gem families at the right quality and fuse them into one of 13 special gems. Each special has a distinct power, splash, slow, poison, chain lightning, crits and more, so your maze gets stronger as you experiment.
Is there a campaign and difficulty options?
Yes. There is a 16-realm story campaign across three acts, an endless Survival mode, and five difficulty levels from relaxed to maniac. Earn up to three stars in every realm.
Can I play Gem TD on mobile?
It loads in mobile browsers, but the game is designed for desktop and larger screens, where the maze-building controls feel best. For the full immersive experience, play on a computer.
Does my progress save?
Your campaign progress, high scores and settings save automatically in your browser via local storage. Come back any time and pick up where you left off.
